About you

We’re seeking a creative and driven individual looking to begin or progress their career in marketing. As Marketing Assistant, you’ll be a key contributor to our team, bringing new ideas and energy to the team. Excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing trends are essential in this role.

Key responsibilities and skills

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking and rapidly growing accountancy and business advisory firm. You will be working in a supportive environment where you will be encouraged to develop and progress your marketing career. Working closely with, and supported by, our Director of Marketing, you will be involved in a wide range of marketing initiatives, including:

This will include:

  • Video production, including filming and editing for promotional videos;
  • Social media content and drafting updates for our social channels;
  • Researching and creating content for our website;
  • Designing promotional marketing materials, such as flyers and brochures;
  • Designing client proposals, reports, presentations and pitch documents;
  • Implementing digital marketing campaigns, including quarterly email newsletters;
  • Co-ordinating events and webinars;
  • Handling new client enquiries and updating the marketing CRM;
  • Adding content and updates to the team Intranet platform;
  • Seeking opportunities for client testimonials and case studies.

Essential Skills and Experience

The ideal person for this role will:

  • Have studied a marketing or business-related qualification at A Level or above;
  • Be interested in furthering their career in marketing and learning new skills;
  • Be a driven individual that can bring new creative marketing ideas in to the organisation;
  • Be a quick learner, particularly with IT systems and software;
  • Have excellent communication skills and telephone manner;
  • Ensure accuracy in their work and attention to detail;
  • Be able to work well as part of a team;
  • Have good organisational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively.

The following experience / skills would be an advantage, but are not mandatory:

  • Previous marketing or sales experience;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Publisher;
  • Social media marketing experience;
  • HTML / CSS coding knowledge;
  • WordPress / Mailchimp experience;
  • Filming or photography experience;
  • Video editing experience;
